we gotta BUNCHa snow the other day! hubby and i played outside a little, and guess what—made a snowman together this year! LOL! (btw, all these pix are thumbnails so click on them for a better view!)
ken & maizy (stick hunting. lol) and the start of the snowman!
don’t move…this won’t hurt a bit! (installation of cranberry mouth)
look’s like he’s dancin, huh? hehe! pretty cute i think…fig eyes, carrot nose and cranberry mouth and buttons. perfect squirrel fodder. LOL. no hair this year—we like him bald!
ooooh he’s snuggly. and tall. LOL.
(hey, dont laugh at my hat!!)
this is my fave tree in our yard. all year round! its gorgeous with its boughs laden with the heavy snow.
my lil herb garden angel, bearing the weight of the snowy world on her wings!
hope you’re enjoying the season—wherever you are!!

ohmygoodness! that snow is amazing! i can't imagine living in snow like that. it's beautiful. and you made a snowman... snowmen always seemed like a fairytale to me, as in not real (i'm from florida... i've never made a snowman. ever.)
ReplyDeleteLove that snowperson! :) Hope you have a wonderful New Year!

I'm so jealous of your snow!
ReplyDeleteWe sometimes have snow in paris, not enough to make a snow man.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have many many good moments with your family and friends;
I'm so jealous of all your snow. We don't get much here in southern England. Josie is sitting next to me watching telly and says she loves your snowman. High praise indeed!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!
Hah! We have the snow, but I'm jealous of your snowman!
ReplyDeleteAnd nobody wants to come out and play with me.
Happy new year Josey! May it be the best ever.
i hope so--since i have lived somewhere in the midwest my whole life, we've had snow every winter. it does seem strange that you have NEVER made a snowman! :( but see...i've never been on the BEACH during christmas, EVER! so, we're even right? :) and think of it this way, at least you know there's still something left in life that's new to experience. LOL! ;) i hope your holidays have been lovely and you're feeling better! (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteOLGA! hey you traveling nut =) hehe! i 'preciate ya swingin by. best wishes for the happiest, perkiest new year ever! LOL! =)
ReplyDeletehi, ern :) i'm so jealous of the view from your front porch!
ReplyDeletehello again, willy :D i have never been to paris (nor europe at all for that matter--but someday i will!), but i bet it is gorgeous there ANY time of the year :)
ReplyDeletethank you so much for the good wishes! all the best to you in the new year as well =)
robert, another jealous one of the snow! hehe! not much snow in southern england, huh? i guess i wouldnt have known. hopefully you get even a LITTLE so it feels like winter! =) well and that's coming from a US midwesterner cause if there wasnt snow here for winter that would be quite strange :)
ReplyDeletei'm glad josie like the snowman! hehe!! definitely a special compliment =D
awww witchyp--tell ABB to come out with you!! maybe you could lure him out with a toidy made of snow? LOLOL!!! ;)
ReplyDeletei am almost positive 2008 WILL be the best year ever. thanks for always making me smile! (((hugs)))
Wow Josey that's a lot of snow :) Send some over this way. You guys have a beautiful back drop. I'm surprised you even blog all with all that nature behind you. :)
ReplyDeleterolando--if you move just to the east of me you'll be sure to get snow tonite! LOL. it's snowing here again now! apparently we've had record snowfall for december even :D
ReplyDeletei usually am outdoors quite a bit during the warmer months, but being here in WI with all the lakes and woods, we get mosquitoes somethin horrible! i go out early in the mornings to tend to the garden and pick berries...then sometimes do yardwork in the afternoon if i'm not volunteering at the gardens. i dont particularly like to be cold, so i'm mostly a hermit in the winter ;) teehee.
I don't mind the cold, I just don't like freezing cold, lol. Sure gives a good excuse to cuddle up with your hubbie :)
ReplyDeletehehe true rolando, i just know he loves my ice-cube feet. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe secret to getting outside more in the winter is to have a pair of ugly boots. Waterproof, and warm. They are never pretty to look at, but hey, playing in the snow is not about fashion.
ReplyDeletehmmm witchyp...you may be onto something! i DO have a pair of boots...not very ugly (tho not high fashion by any means LOL)...but they arent very comfortable!! i got them cause they were expensive and waterproof. *LOL* hrmmm...maybe a pair of new boots is in order!
ReplyDeleteHi Josey, how you holding up out there in God's country? Do we need to send for supplies? :)
ReplyDeletehey, rolando! actually, can you believe--all our snow is melted! ALL OF IT! we had 3 days or so of nearly 60 degree weather! thunderstorms...tornadoes...the works! it was wild. so now everything here looks crappy and messy...muddy, all the fall leaves dirty and stuck to everything...but, on the good side, the roads are clear (except for some flooding here and there!) and we're back down to the 30s again. hahaha! so...maybe you can send me a canoe just in case? hehe!
