i heart him!

simplesundays.jpg

one of my simple pleasures this week was leafing through some pictures from last winter.  the scenario here: i had gone outside to take maizy out while hubby was at work, and found the “guy” snowman!  i didnt know he’d made one, and realized we’d never made a snowman together!  and well, i just couldnt leave the guy all alone! hehe ;)

so, i made the “chicky” snow(wo)man…dressed them both up with some “pine” hair, pinecone eyes, and accessories :D  then, i happened to have some mini-training dog treats in my pocket (i was taking our dog out, remember? LOL.) so i used that for the “love” in the “i love —->” on chicky! hehe!

hubby was surprised and tickled when he came home later and saw them!  we had so much fun just giggling about it =)

i think within a week the squirrels nibbled off the dog treats and maizy yanked out the stick arms and chewed them up. LOL!!

spreaderofloveaward.jpgannnnndd…speakin of love, maureen over at feelingflirty has passed on this loverly award to me!  it’s called the Spreader of Love award created by The Love Blog, and is given for “outstanding demonstration of blogging love.”  The Love Blog is “a personal view of the world from a hopeful human being longing for a world of love, for an earth called Unity.”

i like that! =D  boyyyy it just feels like valentine’s day around here!  i’m all warm and fuzzy :D

i would be honored if the following folks would please accept this award:

  • olga, the traveling bra - she is always spreading her perky black lace self about the blogosphere! *hehe*
  • tish @ the kat house - sweet, intelligent and a great resource at blogsweluv and blogging gal!
  • speedcat hollydale - linkylover extraordinaire!
  • gale @ the practical male advice column - (yes, i visit this site! LOL) a great place for guys (and gals) to get common-sensical, practical, well-versed advice on pertinent topics =D
  • i hope so - she spreads love thru simple sundays—it is her creation!  i think everyone should participate!! (and NO, she didnt ask me to advertise!! lol.)  it is, simply, “a sunday prompt celebrating simple pleasures.”  i love it!  (so yeah, im tellin you to click on the link or the header and check it out! ;D )

and now, for your listening pleasure, the conclusion of my simple sundays.  it reminds me of what a moving time in history this era was.  and, of course, feeds the dreamer/hippie/hopeful part of me that one day the people of the world will find more love and peace in their hearts.  maybe we all can, at least for a time, as we are in the midst of the holiday season.

  1. Those snow(wo)men are too adorable. I wish we had enough snow to build one. I have a picture from when I was little of my grandma, mom, dad, younger sister and I building one. It's at least 6 feet tall because it was as tall as my dad. It was so much fun.
And I have such great memories of building them in the backyard with all the neighborhood kids.
    Great post!

  2. cute stuff....ex number 2 did one like that but the female snow person (notice the politically correct stuff there..:):)) had a frying pan in her hand which she was winging at the male snow person (me)..somehow not quite the same sentiment being expressed here....:):):)

  3. hey there, Yes :D wow, a 6-foot snowman!! that's AWESOME!!! maybe i'll try to do something like that this winter. right now, the snow's just not wet enough to pack.
winter memories as a kid are always the best for me, i dont know why. i remember making "igloos" in the hugemongous walls of plowed snow and being pulled around in sleds by snowmobiles in the cornfield around our house. good times, good times :):)
