i miss the rain

i’m back :)

okay, all you daggone cali folks whose blogs i read…talkin about rain, mountains, oceans, 70 degree winters…all the sudden im longing for a vacation on the west coast!!

and i’ve never even been there!  but i just know i dont wanna be in WI right now :’((

LOL!!

so anyhoo, i just hopped over to i hope so’s place.  she’s one of the guilty ones reporting on the rain recently. ;)  and because of her now, i have this song stuck in my head…

It Never Rains In Southern California.  Albert Hammond, 1972.

this one’s for you, i hope so, since you OHSOLOVE my cheesey 70s grooves! ;)  (OMG is he chewing gum?? LOL!!  and hey, you can’t say he’s not a little cute…all that winking…hahahah…!!!!)

if its raining where you are, enjoy it for me!!!  in the meantime i’ll be waiting for the next 3 months for spring to arrive…

Snow sounds like good superbowl weather. Chili, a fire, and the game. Good times!

  4. hehehe--NO--freezing rain DOESNT count, jd. ;) we're expecting some of that tomorrow, tho. icky!
if winter was over in 2 months, i'd be ecstatic! however, here in WI, winter can last well thru april...many gardeners dont transplant outdoors until after memorial day for fear of frost!
we'll see what happens, tho. hey...i wonder what the groundhog had to say yesterday?? hmmm!!

  6. i hope so...i thought you were close to my age? maybe i'm wrong and you're not a 30-something like me! hehe! i thought you'd have heard that one :) then again, maybe my problem is that i was lost in the 70s during the 80s when i should have been enjoying all the electric pianos and head banging. hahaha!!
well all the same, im glad it made your day. haha! if anything, im sure you're snickering at my hippyness. LOL!!! you're right tho, the hair is hilarious. strangely enough its back in style tho amongst the youngens!
anyhoo, i promise to make you a snowman the next time it snows more and the snow packs well! =D

It is strange though, this brings back memories of a friend and I skiing one day... we sang it on the way up the lift. :) "gimme a breakkkk... give meeeeee a break..."
